The Art and Science Center is one place that is beautiful inside and out. A great learning environment, and even fun when such exhibits are displayed (Art of the Brick!). Its also in Marina Bay, and is close to great places such as Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. You might also want to bring money for souvenirs.

Science Center

The Singapore Science Center is not just for science nerds and geeks. A fun place to discover science, robotics, or just mess around, it houses several exhibits, including traveling exhibits and a water-park outside. A big hub rests in the middle with a voltage show and other gadgets like air cannons. Also has a shop with gizmos and science things, like globs, crystal stones, and lab kits. With many interactive activities and shows, its definitely one of the most fun museums for all kids.

Global Update: YongPyong Resort Korea

YongPyong Resort is a five-star ski and snowboard resort, boasting powdery slopes, great services and diverse courses ranging in difficulty, from extreme sports for professionals, to slides fit for those who never wore a pair of skis before. It also is famous for its scenery and being the filming location of a famous Korean romance movie. And if you’re someone who doesn’t like to ski, but wants to wait and chill in a cafeteria instead, they have many small restaurants, shops, and cafes right next to the slopes. It’s all-season, so It’s a great way to spend any vacation!

If you’re one of those kids that can get to Malaysia with your friends only, then great. Otherwise a parent/guardian is advised to help with immigration, driving, keeping stuff and all that. This place might be a bit confusing, though, for kids and parents alike. Simply, Legoland is behind the Mall of Medini, so just park near the entrance to the mall (or take the bus), walk through, and you’ll arrive at Legoland! Beware the chance of an extremely hot day, and bring water, hats, and sunscreen. The lines might be very long. It’s quite fun for families and friends who enjoy medium rides (the two scariest roller-coasters don’t even have flips), but not really for thrill riders. 6th graders might still find it enjoyable, but 8th graders who like gut-twisting rides won’t find much here, except a lot of Lego stuff. Has many stalls and restaurants to purchase refreshments along the way. You can observing the miniland, build your own car or robot, or watch a 4D movie. For a one-day trip, go early to enjoy all the attractions. Overall an okay experience for the average middle-schooler.

Wyldlife! by Bryanna

You may have seen the green posters around school, labeled WYLDLIFE. Well what is wyldlife? Wyldlife is a youth group that gets together every other week on saturday night to have a night filled with funny stunts, hilarious games and great laughs with your friends.

See, Wyldlife is a christian youth group but anyone can come to get to know God. To come, it is totally free and there is no registration or anything. Each club is hosted at the YMCA. Every club has a theme, for example, one of the nights was mustache themed another was neon themed. Occasionally wyldlife goes out and has a bowling night, pool party or something fun like that. Of course when you go out bowling or something, you have to pay a little though.

Wyldlife is REALLY fun and I hope you and your friends can come next time!

Great for students who think they can be Tarzan and for people who are. This course boasts a maze of ropes laced between trees and not one, not two, but four giga zip lines that stretch across the center lake. For people who want to make their adventure even harder, there are branches of the main course that double the challenge. Be careful though, break their rules two times and you’re off. Note the weather because lightning warnings also can call off your adventure. This place is also great for birthdays, and they provide cake and drinks on such an occasion. A bit expensive.

Wild Wild Wet is the best rated waterpark in Singapore. Get lost in the playground, scream on the slides, or sleep in the wave pool and river. Holds the first raft slide in Singapore, a thrilling 4-storey halfpipe, and a maze of regular slides as well as a gigantic playground. Tubes are provided without charge, but on a first-come-first-serve basis. Lockers are provided but be careful, as you can only use them once. Has numerous food stalls inside, but does not allow food to be brought in.

The JCube Ice Skating Rink is the first Olympic-size skating rink in Singapore, this place sports a 30 m by 60 m stadium of real ice. Slip and slide through the ice to the music played through the speakers. It has 430 spectator seats and changing rooms. It has a great first-aid team. Don’t try to buy a penguin helper for you non-skaters, it’s only for kids under 10 years. Bring your own socks and gloves, it costs more to rent. There are also many restaurants around, so you can eat once you’re hungry. There are 15 minute intervals between the two hour sessions for the Zamboni.
